Capturing Moments
Landscape, nature, and wildlife photography are my personal favorites, but any opportunity to capture a moment I live for! I am an avid hiker living in New England. I started almost 20 years ago when digital cameras first became "affordable". Eventually moving on to cell phones, consumer priced DSLRs, and smartphones before I finally fell in love with interchangeable lens DSLRs. Amazing image quality with full creative control. A tool that inspires me artistically. What better way to capture moments in life?! Whether they are personal pictures or for a client, it's what I live for!
Fueled By Passion
One thing about me, when something catches my interest, I devote myself to it. It can be learning a new skill or taking on a new project. If it lets me express myself, I get passionate about it. When my creative juices start flowing I put all my energy and focus into it, not stopping until completed to the best of my ability. This is what I promise to all my clients. As well as a professional and enjoyable expirience working with a photographer.
Other Interests
Working with people is nothing new for me. Finding solutions to people's needs is something I do daily. As wellas being a photographer, I own and operate GUITAR REHAB in Stafford Springs, CT. For over 9 years I have been repairing and modifying stringed instruments for musicians all over New England. Working with my clients to make their instruments the best they can be. My un-official slogan is "Everything's a Compromise". There's what the client wants, what the instrument needs, and what the instrument is designed for. It's my job to find a compromise that makes everyone happy and make it happen. To this day I have not had an unhappy client. I'm quite proud of that!
I am a guitarist as well. I have been playing for over 30 years, 19 of which I have been performing as "Joe Perry" with my band BIG TEN INCH - A TRIBUTE TO AEROSMITH. I will admit someone else handles the majority of the business but I still do my part. It's the performing that I love. I have been in quite a few original music bands also but nothing that was well known unfortunately.
Other hobbies of mine are digital music creation, shooting & editing video, and screenplay writing. In the future I would like to begin film making. I am quite a movie buff and have always dreamed of making them. I have also been part of a few animation projects, doing both photography and voice-over work. Whatever fuels my creativity!
